On July 30, 2019 the second monitoring visit found place at Al Hussein bin Talal University (AHU) in Ma’an with the participation of AHU president, professor Najib Abu Karaki.
A delegation from the National Erasmus Office (NEO) Jordan discussed the project progress with the contact persons from the five Jordanian partner universities and a representative from the grant holder, Technische Universität Dresden.
After a summery presentation of the activities conducted and milestones achieved so far, each Jordanian partner provided a short report on its project ownership, engagement in the first pilot Virtual Collaborative Learning (VCL) courses, and foreseen benefits and impact based on knowledge developed and lessons learned in the period since the first monitoring visit. Four AHU students joined this session to share the vision of this key target group of the project.
The NEO Jordan delegate concluded the monitoring with questions to the Jordanian partner HEIs and the grant holder on next steps to include refugees and disadvantaged learner groups and planned measures to ensure sustainability and dissemination of project results.
