On September 03-15, 2019 the Chair of Information Management at the Technische Universität Dresden organised the “E-Tutors Training for Jordanian Students” Summer School.
Twenty seven Bachelor and Masters students from different disciplines and study programs at the five Jordanian partner universities learned and practiced how to facilitate and manage online learning communities, particularly in international Virtual Collaborative Learning (VCL) arrangements.
Through active participation in two weeks of intensive workshops, practical exercises, role plays, moderated group work, cases study work, and team reflection Jordanian students developed their skills and abilities to serve as E-Tutors and assist academic staff members to successfully implement local, regional, and international Virtual Collaborative Learning (VCL) projects.
After this experience, Jordanian E-Tutors can contribute to modernisation and internationalisation at their home universities and play the multiplicator role to promote and support Virtual Exchange through interactive digital teaching and learning methods.
